Applications, References, and Requirements for Admission to Richmont

All applications to Richmont are reviewed by the Admissions Committee on a rolling basis. The Committee reviews all applications from a holistic approach taking all aspects of the application into consideration.

This section is for the following degree-seeking students:

  • Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
  • Online MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
  • Master of Science in Pastoral Care and Integration
 

In addition to the application, students applying to the School of Counseling must also submit:

  • One Academic/Professional Reference
    The Academic/Professional Reference should be completed by someone who can address the applicant’s academic or professional characteristics. Ideally, it should be a professor or supervisor.
  • One Character Reference
    The Character Reference should be completed by a friend or someone close to the applicant. Ideally, it should be someone that can provide a candid evaluation of the applicant.
  • One Pastoral Reference
    The Pastoral Reference should be completed by a pastor, small group leader, missions leader, etc.  Ideally, it should be someone that can address your ministry involvement and who you have served with/under, or alongside.

This section is for the following degree-seeking students:

  • Master of Arts in Ministry
  • Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation and Direction
  • Master of Arts in Ministry: Anglican Studies Concentration
  • Graduate Certificate in Anglican Studies
 

In addition to the application, students applying to the School of Ministry (online or Atlanta campus), including students applying for entrance into the Graduate Certificate in Spiritual Direction, must also submit:

  • One Ministry Reference
    The Ministry Reference should be completed by a pastor, small group leader, missions leader, etc.  Ideally, it should be someone that can address your ministry involvement and who you have served with, under, or alongside.

This section is for students seeking admission to the Doctor of Ministry program.

 
Application Requirements
  • Admission application with a $50 nonrefundable application fee
  • An acknowledgement that the applicant has reviewed the Statement of Faith
  • A 40 hours Master’s degree with 11 hours of Bible and Theology in Ministry or a related field of study
  • Three completed reference forms:
    • Pastoral Reference
    • Character reference
    • Academic or professional reference
  • Resume
  • Academic Writing Sample
  • Personal Interview with the Dean of the School of Ministry and Program Director
  • A personal statement that outlines the applicant’s intent behind applying for the Doctor of Ministry at Richmont. Said application must be between 500 to 700 words typed, double spaced.

This section is for students seeking admission to our Certificate Programs.

 
Application Requirements

  • Official transcripts from all schools attended
Note on Non-Degree Options

Classes in Christian Sex Therapy (ISW) and Trauma Counseling certificates are available as Continuing Education courses.  You can register for this option under the Continuing Education page. Please note that in order to take ISW courses for CE credit, you must be pursuing ABCST certification from ISW.
